What You'll Get
Red sky at night is a sailor’s delight, but red sky at morning means the ship's been steered into a volcano. Discover further aquaformation with today’s Groupon: for $149, you get a four-hour boat rental at Carefree Boat Club (a $375 value), with locations at Clear Lake and Lake Conroe.
Thanks to the knowledgeable team and impressive sea stock at Carefree Boat Club, aquanauts can confidently cruise the welcoming waters of Clear Lake or Lake Conroe in a ski boat, pontoon boat, or runabout of their choice. Either on your own or with friends, select an aqueous steed from the club's fleet; most boats seat 5–8 people. Then after a brief orientation (should take no longer than 20 minutes), saunter out onto the open waters, calling up the adventurous maritime spirits of Christopher Columbus and Ferdinand Magellan, who each desperately competed to score the first ocean-based reality-TV-show contract. Half-day rentals are available from 8 a.m. to noon or from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and afterward, patrons can celebrate nabbing a trophy fish by visiting various nearby local attractions, such as the Kemah Lighthouse District and the Johnson Space Center.

About Carefree Boat Club
Weekend cruises along the lake. The occasional night fishing trip. While many people would like to own a boat for those reasons, the expenses of maintaining and storing a boat year-round can be daunting. Carefree Boat Rental eliminates the tedious bits of boat ownership by lending its well-maintained fleet to members by the hour. Inspected weekly by a dock staff using a 50-point checklist, each boat is also equipped with US Coast Guard-required safety equipment such as flares, approved flotation devices, and an emergency stash of Cheetos. The crew also takes care of regular maintenance, such as oil changes, hull cleaning, and annual bottom painting.
