So family and I were visiting from CA., for my son’s wedding. I’d lived there long ago.I was tour guide/ driver .. but ya, things change of course. The Groupon purchase was a nice little discount. Just didn’t have the cards in our tour. Loud mouths all in the front of us. And unfortunately, Jill Biden was visiting so we had to tour a street that the carriage a never go on. We were all sitting in the back with the “ angry” auto drivers. It was all interesting. I didn’t learn much at all. BUT in all fairness, our tour guide, Hampton, really had nothing to work with! He really didn’t! We probably all shoulda been given another tour! Lmao! But my family didn’t know any better and all the loud people in front of us were happy. lol AND I had a really great tour Dang... 20 years ago! And it stuck! I just wanted my family to have that experience but it’s okay. Lmao that don’t appreciate the South as I do. So it’s all good. Hampton did his best with what he was given. I’d give this your group a total thumbs up.

This was a great way to learn and explore the city and history or Charleston. I highly recommend this if you come to visit, and it is right in the middle of the market which is an experience in itself.

About Carolina Polo and Carriage Company

With Charleston roots dating back to the 1600s, Robert Knoth is helping tourists and locals alike see the city the way his ancestors might've: by carriage. At Carolina Polo and Carriage Company, guests hop on buggies pulled by highly trained draft horses, who clip-clop all over town and bring passengers with them. The horses are led by equally well-trained guides, who point out historic areas and sights to see in Charleston during each leisurely hour-long ride.
