Awarded San Joaquin's Best Photography Studio by the Record in 2010 after more than 30 years of service, Caroline Photography illustrates the beauty that can be found in memory preservation. The studio's head photographer and instructor, Kevin Richtik, deploys decades of experience in sessions that acquaint students with a digital camera’s basic functions. Afterward, aspiring sharpshooters are loosed upon the 4,000-square-foot outdoor studio to develop their trigger fingers while Richtik offers pointers on how to capture the sparkling waters of the koi pond and how to aim lenses at flowering herbs without making them blush. Students leave classes with tips from the teacher, a memory card packed with moments, and the confidence to practice outside the studio's lush confines.
The indoor or outdoor photo session allows subjects to capture frame-worthy images of a relaxed family enjoying the middle distance, a gaggle of children celebrating a birthday, a pair of lovebirds, or a child fording a river atop a horse. Sessions of smile hide-and-seek not held in the garden will occur at the indoor studio against backdrops ranging from elegant white screens to more whimsical holiday-themed sets. The session includes an advance consultation and results in one 8"x10" print and 30 folded 4"x5" greeting cards.
