With jokes aimed at both ends of the political spectrum -- and pretty much all of the middle, too -- musical comedy group The Capitol Steps has been eliciting laughs at democracy's expense since 1981. Rest assured that it's completely bipartisan -- whoever happens to be in the news gets the royal treatment. The Steps' stage show features numerous song parodies and skits, and the cast even includes some former Congressional staffers, whose firsthand experience helps make the jokes zing that much more. They've recorded more than 30 albums, including their latest, Mock the Vote, and their radio specials are featured on NPR stations nationwide four times a year. Watch the Steps put the "pun" in punditry when they hit the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach.
