What You'll Get
Jazz singer-songwriter-guitarist Allan Harris may be best known for his vocal performances of standards in the style of Nat King Cole and others, but his smooth, soulful sound also lends itself to blues, pop, Latin and rock. And he'll show off all those influences and more as he returns to the Carpenter Center, touring behind his latest album release, Black Bar Jukebox. Inspired by the wide variety of music heard in Harlem clubs in the mid-to-late 20th century, Harris' latest disc features everything from songbook classics like "You Make Me Feel So Young" and "My Funny Valentine" to the Latin-flavored "Catfish" and pop covers like "Take Me to the Pilot" and John Mayer's "Daughters."
