The event takes place at Old Celina Park on Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, with specific events held each day. Though many sponsors provide free activities for kids, most grounded rides and games require three to five tickets, which guests can purchase onsite. Saturday closes out with fireworks at 8:45 p.m. and the last band on stage at 9:15 p.m. Free parking is available.
Celina Park Festival
Whether grounded or airborne, balloons dominate the festivities at Old Celina Park. On the ground, the vibrantly patterned balloons glow and undulate as propane burners pump them with hot air.
With this canopy of colored dots overhead, the festival’s entertainment comes alive as musical acts such as Jason Boland & the Stragglers along with Dale Watson performing on Saturday take the stage. The Steak Cook-off Association will host a sanctioned steak cook-off to qualify for the championship that will take place in Fort Worth. Inflatables promote adrenaline rushes along with human hamster balls, and a Home Depot Activity Zone.
