What You'll Get
Before cameras, people seeking to leave a legacy could only hope to secure their place in future textbooks by poisoning the emperor. Avoid being a mere footnote with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $89.99 for a two-hour Introduction to Digital Photography workshop and a two-hour Composition and Posing in Natural Light workshop (a $398 total value)
- $49.99 for a two-hour Introduction to Digital Photography workshop (a $199 value)
Held on location in downtown Nashville, the introductory workshop teaches students how to effectively operate their DSLR cameras in order to capture dynamic images in any light. The first hour is spent learning about the camera’s settings and adjusting the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO to get the best exposure. For the second hour, instructors lead classes out of the classroom so students can put their new skills into practice.
Students may continue on to the second workshop, where they will cover such topics as choosing locations and positioning their subjects. Courses also cover the manipulation of natural light, usually through blackmail with photos taken from each beam of light’s torrid affair with the sun. Instructors cap classes at 20 people in order to provide individual feedback and assistance.

About Celladora Wedding Photography
John Yates and Mollie Cochrane, the laid-back and professional shutterbugs of Celladora Wedding Photography, modestly describe themselves as “hilarious joke tellers” and “occasional bride calmer-downers.” Those skills and a knack for crisp, brightly lit photos come in handy at the innumerable weddings the duo has documented from coast to coast. Their subjects’ ease in front of the camera is evident in their portfolio of candidly grinning brides, dapper grooms, dedicated military men, and chicken-dancing wedding officiators. When not snapping engagement shots or running a reception photo booth, the pair takes time to share their wealth of shutter skills with new parents or curious digital-camera owners during workshops that divide time between photography basics and hands-on instruction in the field.
