Skaters glide around the ice during public-skate sessions, which last an hour and 45 minutes
Centennial Ice Arena may be owned and operated by the Billings Amateur Hockey League, but hockey is by no means the only sport that takes place on its glassy plane of frozen water. In fact, the rink's calendar is chock-full of not only youth and adult hockey practices, but also figure-skating events, basic skating instruction, and even curling. Public skates, when the zambonis and confused ice fishermen clear the rink and open it to the general public, are also scheduled throughout the week.
