When you get there, open the white gate and pull in, we just sat there waiting for someone to come get us, seeing there was a "beware of watch dog" sign up. They did make up the 10 minutes we were out there waiting.

Completely worth the hour+ drive! My 16 year old daughter had a 1 1/2 hour lesson as a first time rider. Her instructor (Dori, I believe) was patient, knowledgeable and kind. The facilities were very nice and the riding ring was covered. Perfect!

About Central Arizona Riding Academy

At Central Arizona Riding Academy, instructors Uli Schmitz, Dorie Schmitz, and Mary Jane Parmentier espouse a simple equestrian system. They believe that by combining positive reinforcement, professional training, and good, old-fashioned family-friendliness, they can groom students to excel as lifelong horseback riders. They accept students of all ages and ability levels into the program at their 10-acre facility, and coach them on building strength and confidence inside a pair of all-weather footing arenas. Students can learn the finer points of dressage and eventing, or stick with basic riding, which comes in handy when the mounted police pull onto the road behind you.
