After suffering through a number of sports-related and vehicular injuries as a child and young adult, Dr. Franklin Gilbert could find little relief from the lingering after-effects. His day-to-day life was punctuated by excruciating migraines, neck pain, and dwindling strength—symptoms he thought he would have to live with forever until a visit to a chiropractor changed his perspective. Now, Dr. Gilbert and his partner, Dr. Erik Uuksulainen—who dealt with his own high-school sports injury—helm Central Park West Wellness, where they help patients achieve optimum health with chiropractic care in a variety of styles. Though the two often rely on traditional chiropractic methods, they specialize in The Pettibon System, an intensive, long-term chiropractic therapy designed to decrease pain and improve posture.
