About Vida Pilates UTC/UC
Housed in San Diego, the international team of certified instructors at the helm of Vida Pilates aren't just trained in the center's namesake fitness style. Many have also developed skills in barre fitness, physical therapy, soccer, ballet, and modern dance. At the studio, they call upon all this expertise while helping others achieve long, lean muscles in three levels of Pilates-reformer classes. Though the classes––which increase in difficulty––focus on different muscle groups, each one aims to increase muscle tone and flexibility in the core region.
But the staff doesn't limit its clients to reformer work. The Booty Barre program blends techniques from Pilates, yoga, and dance into sensual, whole-body workouts set to upbeat music. With no prior dance experience required, visitors perform strength- and flexibility-training exercises as well as isometric workouts with balls, rings, and other props. Attendees also can take part in Zumba classes, an upbeat dance fitness program focused on body-sculpting movement with easy-to-follow dance.
