What You'll Get
Acts of generosity, such as taking a paintball hit for a teammate, can result in a healthy inner glow and a paint-splattered heart on your sleeve. Paint yourself charitable with today’s Groupon: for $12, you get one admission ticket to the Challenge For Children's Third Annual Charity Paintball Big Game at MN Pro Paintball in Lakeville (a $25 value). Check in the day of the game, Sunday, June 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Although paint slingers can bring their own equipment or buy equipment-rental packages ($10), guests will need to purchase RPS paintballs from MN Pro, available in sets of 200, 500 or 2,000 ($44.95/case of 2,000), at the event. All profits from paint fees and registration go to Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.
Challenge for Children's team-focused game gives thrill seekers of all skill levels an exhilarating opportunity to run, duck, and brandish paint pistols for a good cause. After signing a waiver acknowledging the event's basic rules, high-velocity taggers can crawl on bellies, earn mystery points and perks during special missions, and decimate unsuspecting opponents in a splatter of brilliant color. MN Pro Paintball Park's fields showcase woodsy terrain speckled with towers and trenches, as well as tournament-style areas with inflatable bunkers, checkpoints, and fire-breathing dragons. Varying battle stages allow teams to switch between offense and defense while protecting their castle and territory from alien plant invasion. Lasting from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., the game has a one-hour break for lunch where paint slingers can refuel with food and beverages available for purchase. Admission grants warriors unlimited air refills as well as entry into the raffle ($2,000+ worth of prizes); winners, awards, and prizes will be announced at the end of the day.
