Like Shakira, a fluid golf swing harnesses snappy hip movements, looks amazing, and catches the eyes of passersby. Brush up on your swing physics with today’s Groupon: for $8, you get two jumbo buckets of balls for use on the driving range (a $16 value) at the Challenge Golf Course on Flickinger Road.

The Challenge Golf Course was built in 1999 as part of the Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Institute to provide golf programs for people with disabilities, so it's designed for ease-of-access for putters of all abilities. The driving range is located on 12 acres near the golf course and features a 3,500-square-foot tee area. Two jumbo buckets give you a total of 180 balls with which to hone your swing, practice for a horror-movie audition, or prepare to defend your home from a renegade windmill that can only be stopped by a properly timed ball that soars between the windmill's blades and lodges itself in its air-intake pipe. Savor the sensation of swinging solo, or bring along a friend or trusty steed for calm chatting or stress-relieving tandem primal screams during the driving-range session.

Edwin Shaw Challenge Golf Course

People who have played golf now that it's a notoriously challenging game, but for many living with disabilities, even getting to the first tee is a challenge and accomplishment. Edwin Shaw Challenge Golf Course was built in 1999 as part of the Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Institute to provide golf programs for people with disabilities, so it's designed with ease-of-access in mind. Features such as wheelchair-accessible paths and handrails on the tees make it accessible for everyone, including those recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and amputations. While there are only three holes, each has three sets of tees so a full nine-hole round can be played. The facility is designed both disabled and able-bodied golfers of all ages with a 12-acre driving range, a practice green, and indoor hitting range.
