I would really like to purchase this for my husband and son. My son is 10 years old, would he be allowed to go with his dad on the flight lessons? Thank you, Jessica

Generally speaking, because the Ultimate Flight Package's Flight Lessons are one-on-one, formal instruction, taking passengers is ill-advised. If you are purchasing the Discovery Flight ($59), which is a one-time 30 minute flight to see if Aviation is something the student is truly interested in, then it would be more suiting to have a passenger. However, being that the training aircraft being used has only two headset jacks (one for the student, one for the instructor), any passenger in the backseat would need to bring earplugs to avoid noise fatigue. You would also want to consider any nausea-related issues that can arise, particularly in a younger passenger. A Cessna 172 is a small aircraft and subject to turbulence. Above all, having a passenger on an introductory flight is at the instructor's discretion. If you purchase this for your husband primarily, the instructor will have to decide if the wind conditions and air stability would be condusive for your son to ride as a passenger. Also, any additional passenger in the aircraft is a $20 charge, payable to us on the day of your appointment. I apologize for not including this in the original answer. Feel free to contact me at the Springfield location @ 937-525-1441 with any questions or concerns.
