About Champions Club
When the founders of Champions Club hired Tom Fazio to design their 18-hole course, they were bringing in a giant in the industry, a man known for creating challenging, but fair, courses that exist in harmony with their surroundings. They were not disappointed. Once the course opened in 1994, it quickly became the embodiment of Mr. Fazio's belief that courses should emanate from natural topographical features, such as the area's existing hills, ridges, and "Replace Your Divots" signs. The course was even designated an Audubon Signature Statuary for its natural beauty and environmentally friendly practices—the first public course to be so named.
The course may be easy on the eyes, but it's hard on any golfer who doesn't respect the layout. It checks in at 6,890 yards from the rear of four sets of tees, playing to a par of 72 for women and 71 for men. Those who have trouble can make use of the putting green, driving range, and DLadd Golf Academy to straighten out slices or reclaim a wayward putting stroke.
