The Ostrich Festival, held yearly by the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, began in 1989 based on Chandler’s colorful early history of ostrich ranching, which included raising these unusual creatures within the city limits. The event has grown to become one of the premier festivals in the Southwest.

The festival is a community and family event featuring a live ostrich exhibit, live national and local bands, carnival midway, great food, upscale arts and crafts, and even more attractions. Check out some highlights of the festival that’s dedicated to the culture and nostalgia of these ostriches.
