Almost 46 grape varieties climb the trellises surrounding the 100-year-old Spanish chapel at Chapel Creek Winery. Students of viticulture and enology tend to these delicate bunches throughout the year, and they welcome visitors to celebrate the picking season during the annual Grape Stomp Festival. Throughout the day, festival attendees can stomp the juice from sun-ripened grapes while dancing in their barrels to live musicians' melodies.
Tours of the chapel take place hourly throughout the festival and have included various activities in the past, such as visits to the goats in the children's petting zoo and lunchtime picnics of cow-bernet (cabernet) burgers and Sinful Zinfandel peach desserts. This Groupon includes food tickets for each visitor, but wine-tasting tickets must be purchased separately for $1 per 1-ounce serving.
