Drift under seasonal foliage or in the shadows of historic buildings in one of three types of watercrafts. Different vessels, such as plastic and composite kayaks, standard and kevlar canoes, and standup paddleboards, are available to first-time pass holders for a season’s worth of rentals at different locations, and on-land orientation is available at no additional fee. Though the Newton location does not have a firm opening date, the season begins on April 20 for Allston and Brighton and Kendall Square, May 4 for Nahanton Park, and May 18 for Natick. Opening dates are subject to change.

Charles River Recreation is an locally based outdoor recreation company dedicated to getting people outdoors and having fun. In the summer our focus is canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. When the water freezes we turn to ice skating and cross-country skiing.
