The naturenauts of Charlotte Outdoor Adventures draw upon more than a decade of experience to stoutly lead forays over land and water through the Carolina wilderness. On the island-hopping boat tour, waterborne wayfarers visit three island sanctuaries for birds and other modern dinosaurs over the course of four hours. Tourists may explore the islands at their own pace on foot or enjoy a secluded picnic, and snacks and water are provided. On select dates throughout the summer, an AMGA-certified instructor introduces novices to the perpendicular world of rock climbing on Crowders Mountain, and sets the stage for more experienced clamberers as well. On the three-hour wildlife-watching kayak tour, adventurers harness the power of their own limbs to seek out the Yadkin and Pee Dee River basin's endangered denizens. In addition to kayak, paddle, and life preserver, lunch and water are provided on this trip.
