About Charro Mexican Restaurant
A molcajete—a Mexican stone mortar and pestle—isn’t just for smashing food. At Charro Mexican Restaurant, chefs also use the bowl as a way to present their specialties, such as the Molcajete Ranchero: steak and chicken marinated with pasilla peppers, then covered in cheese.
Other meals might not come in mortars, but all of them celebrate the flavors of Mexico. Tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas arrive topped in chile ancho salsa, green tomatillo sauce, and pico de gallo, whereas ribeye steaks come with sides of guacamole. For dessert, try the flan or some fried ice cream, which is far more than just ice cream with fries sticking out of it.
