What You'll Get
Go-karts allow people to experience the thrill of driving without having to hear radio ads for pungent soaps or look at four empty seats that remind them of the time someone stole their family of mannequins. Keep thrills pure with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of go-kart racing at Checkered Flag Raceway in Berlin.
Checkered Flag Raceway thrills both adults and children (when accompanied by an adult) in three go-kart models that zip around an outdoor track. Drivers add windy volume to coifs as they guide the Interceptor, the Bomber, or the Tornado in speedway-style racing. An on-track scoreboard monitors the vital signs of four-minute sessions of on-track time ($6.50 for one nonmember adult ride; $5.75 for one nonmember kid's ride), displaying lap-completion times to a 1,000th of a second. Two-seater go-karts are available at no extra charge for adults with a child who is 36–56 inches tall or a stuffed replica of a squeamish pet shih tzu.

About Checkered Flag Raceway
A full quarter mile of outdoor track snakes across the grass, sending racers on an adrenaline-fueled grudge match of hairpin turns, pedal-pushing straightaways, and close finishes. A speedy fleet of go-karts sends drivers flying down the track in vehicles such as the swift 9-horsepower Interceptor, or the two-seater Tornado, which allows children to ride alongside their parents to learn proper three-point turn technique. An on-track scoreboard displays racers’ lap times with accuracy up to a 1,000th of a second, and printed results enshrine automotive achievements and bragging rights for display. Inside, a beeping, blinking arcade pits gamers head-to-head in pro-racing simulators or rousing tournaments of air hockey.
