What You'll Get
Knowing how to dance, like owning a handkerchief, being good at archery, and resisting the urge to draw mustaches on babies, is a mark of a true gentleman. Increase gentleman or gentlewomanly qualities with today's Groupon: for $24, you get a four-class package at Chicago Dance, which boasts two studio locations within city limits (a $72 value). Backed by more than 30 years of two-stepping tradition, Chicago Dance provides a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for steppers of all skill levels. Group courses introduce would-be stars to partner dancing in a variety of styles, including salsa, tango, swing, ballroom, and steps akin to wedding-day dance-offs. With such an eclectic backing, students are free to start off jiving on the dance floor, then mix it up with an Argentine tango, and then confuse everyone by seamlessly transitioning to a Viennese. There is no need to bring a partner, as students rotate partners throughout class in order to become accustomed to different leads and follows. Likewise, class sizes typically hover between 10 and 28 students, enabling all attendees to get some face-to-toe time with their detail-oriented instructors.
