What You'll Get
Taking pictures is the best way to memorialize family gatherings, obtain blackmail material, and double-check loved ones' non-vampire status. Get ready to collect the evidence with today's Groupon: $45 for either of two day-long beginners' digital-photography classes at Chicago Photography Academy (a $125 value). This Groupon is good for either the Digital in a Day or the Compact Digital course.
Chicago Photography Academy’s day classes put novice shutterbugs and petrified photographobes through a seven-hour crash course in the art and science of digital photography. Each day, camp commences at 10 a.m., when a highly experienced instructor materializes in the state-of-the-art lighting studio and fully equipped digital lab, then spends the rest of the day imparting the fundamentals of digital photography. If your camera doesn't have a removable lens, you can opt for the Compact Digital class to learn the basic shooting, composition, and quality-of-light tricks necessary to create striking photographs, as well as the computer skills necessary to tweak and print images. Or try the Digital in a Day class, which covers the same fundamentals for those with digital SLR cameras. The experience will arm beginners with the power to covertly capture the souls of friends, foes, and National Basketweaving Association superstars foolish enough to look into your lens.
Students are provided with all the necessary extra equipment to complete the course with ease; simply bring along your fully charged digital camera and its user guide, plus at least one of your eyelids.

About Chicago Photography Academy
Chicago Photography Academy hones photographic eyes and bulks up shutter-snapping fingers through a host of short-term and intensive classes geared to all skill levels. Students can gauge their education by personal interests and schedule, hunkering down for a one- or two-day crash course. Instructors impart a working knowledge of photo-editing software during lightroom classes, whereas introductory video sessions teach how to shoot realistic video of faked moon landings. Students can build the skills necessary to snap stunning wedding photos, or immerse themselves in the CPA's colorful curriculum with a one-year certificate program in photography, which combines all of the school's classes into one linear progression. Classes include all necessary supplies for printing images, and do not require shutterbugs to purchase additional lenses or retro fedora hats.
