Commonly Asked Questions

Q:

Could we bring our 9 month old? Is the cost per student? Could one person be the student while the spouse watches? If the spouse was just watching would she have to pay?

Denise S.  asked on  May 8, 2013

A:

Unfortunately bringing a nine month old aboard isn't allowed. We want everyone to have a safe sail and the best experience possible. Also, the boat only has room for six paying guests.

Q:

So, I just purchased the groupon, how do I reserve the class date and time?

A:

You will email the merchant directly! Please refer to the "How to use this" section of your Groupon voucher for redemption instructions. Here is how you access your Groupon voucher:

While signed in, place your cursor over your name at the top right of the screen and click "My Groupons". If the Groupon you are trying to print was purchased as a gift, it will be under "My Gifts". After you’ve reached that page, click “View Voucher” to download the PDF file of the Groupon(s) to your computer.

Q:

Hello. My wife and I are interested in doing this as a couple. Would we need to buy two Groupons at $99 each in order to do this. Can the introduction take place as a couple if we do this? Thanks very much!

Ward W.  asked on  May 11, 2013

A:

Coast Guard regulations allow only six paying guests. Unfortunately that rule precludes spectators. Also, this class is a "hands-on" experience. Each participant will have the opportunity to steer the boat themselves. To be fair, a participant has to be a paying guest.
