Q:

Is there a weight limit? I have read that at some other flight schools, if the person is over 200 lbs, you have to purchase for two people. Please advise. Thanks.

Jenn S.  asked on  Jun 6, 2013

A:

Jenn, thank you for your question and interest in our course! There is no weight limit for purchasing our GroupOn and you will have not have to buy two regardless of weight. The aircraft however is subjected to some weight restrictions for safe operation of flight and we want to make sure that all participants can exit the aircraft safely without assistance. We recommend calling our office to discuss any further concerns you may have regarding weight prior to purchase. As a general guideline though under 250 lbs should not be an issue.

Q:

what is the waiver you must sign? mike

michael g.  asked on  Jun 5, 2013

A:

Mike, thank you for your question! The waiver is an insurance release/ Hold Harmless form, similar in scope to form you would sign if you went skydiving, bungee jumping etc... While we operate our aircraft observing strict safety practices and Federal Aviation Administration regulations, it is an industry standard document.

Q:

Is there a age limit for this course. Thanks

Lakshmy G.  asked on  Jun 5, 2013

A:

Lakshmy, The recommend minimal age limit is 10 years old. This also depends on the maturity level of the child and the discretion of the parents. There is no maximum age limit to fly.

Q:

hi, can you please confirm how long (lessons and flight time) the course is and if there is any certificate at the end? Thank you

Sergio V.  asked on  Jun 5, 2013

A:

Sergio, The class is from 9 am to 11:30 am and is held every Saturday. Your flight is 30 minutes long and yes, you will receive a flight certificate. The flight certificate is time that you can log towards your private pilot certificate and never expires.

Q:

Are there set days for the training or can it be done by appointment? So there is 2 hours on the ground and how much flight time?

Todd M.  asked on  Jun 5, 2013

A:

Hi Todd, The class is from 9 am to 11:30 am and is held every Saturday. Once the class is complete you can take your flight the very next day. If we have availability after you take the class we can schedule you then. Your flight is usually set up after class and we fly Monday through Sunday 8 am to 6 pm.
