What You'll Get
If the Hundred Years' War had been fought with paintballs instead of rifles, it might still be happening, but it'd be so colorful that no one would mind. Experience your own vibrant battlefield with today's Groupon: for $25, you get an all-day open play pass, equipment package, and 500 paintballs at Chicagoland Paintball in Glenwood (a $55 value). The equipment package includes a mask, vest, loader, marker, and air tank.
Because winter’s deep-freeze gives paintballs the consistency of actual bullets, Chicagoland Paintball’s warm, spacious indoor facility keeps the game fun, comfortable, and non-lethal all year. Though much of the clientele are seasoned veterans who bleed red, white, blue, green, purple, magenta, and orange, Chicagoland’s staff will help newbies strategize for Technicolor combat. In between rounds of mowing down friends and coworkers with a deadly rainbow or shouting anguished “Nooooos!” for fallen comrades, chill out with a snack in the kitchen or a little WiFi and cable TV in a secluded area away from the noise of the game.
Spectators can have almost as much fun watching the participants duck and dodge through the wide-open field’s bunkers and padded obstacles from the surrounding viewing area, which gives you 360-degree sights of the action. Chicagoland Paintball also has shower facilities so that you can hose off the day’s colorful carnage before heading home.
Chicagoland Paintball is recommended by PBReview users who recommend this indoor field for winter play; however, users caution that many of the customers are too advanced for beginners:

About Chicagoland Paintball
Housed inside of an airplane-hanger-like building with a high, A-frame ceiling, Chicagoland Paintball's battleground yields paintballing matches during all seasons. The center suits up players in rental gear before sending them onto the green turf floor to navigate mammoth inflatable X- and barrel-shaped obstacles. After the paint clouds clear, teams can agree to an armistice as they nosh on pepperoni pizzas and slurp down slushies at the onsite snack bar. And in the adjoining lounge, they recharge and recover with free WiFi and cable TV, plus nearby shower facilities that promote cleaner car rides home.
