This fun "urban safari" unveils the fascinating backstory of Chicago's "secret weapon" against the elements -- the covered and heated Pedway (Pedestrian Walkway). The Pedway is nearly 5 miles long and features a jumble of underground corridors, building concourses, food courts, train stations and sky-bridges. This two-hour walking tour covers a little more than 2 miles of this unique urban terrain, plus you'll emerge to see interesting locales like City Hall, Chicago Cultural Center, Macy's and many more. Along the way, your expert guides will serve up historical tidbits and juicy lore on some of the city's more colorful characters.
