About Chickpea Photography Studio
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Chickpea is a boutique photography studio specializing in dogs, kids, and families that love them. I focus on dogs because they live in the moment, have no ego, aren’t worried hair and makeup. They just run, play with abandon and smile contagiously.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The day I found an 80-year-old photo of my grandmother. This was an amazing moment; finding this old photo album was like traveling back in time and until that moment I had no idea just how much I resembled my grandmother. This drove home for me the importance of the printed image.
What do you love most about your job?
_ I’ve always seen myself as that ‘lanky blonde girl’ sitting alone because she was too shy to strike up a conversation, but not when I’m holding my camera. While I firmly believe I’m basically an introvert, when I’m looking through the lens and working with clients, my inner extrovert shines and I have such fun!_
What is the best reaction you’ve ever gotten from a customer?
Hearing clients tell me how I captured the essence of their pet and seeing how happy it makes them to view the images.
