About Chickpea Photography Studio

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

For fun, dating, social media or business, you need a great image not a simple snapshot or selfie. It doesn’t need to be stressful, nerve wracking or a long, boring process. Our studio headshots are quick, easy and pain-free.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

The day I found an 80-year-old photo of my grandmother. This was an amazing moment; finding this old photo album was like traveling back in time and until that moment I had no idea just how much I resembled my grandmother. This drove home for me the importance of the printed image.

What do you love most about your job?

I’ve always seen myself as that ‘lanky blonde girl’ sitting alone because she was too shy to strike up a conversation, but not when I’m holding my camera. While I firmly believe I’m basically an introvert, when I’m looking through the lens and working with clients, my inner extrovert shines and I have such fun!

What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?

A happy client letting me know how nervous they were at the thought of having headshots taken, but afterwards realizing they had fun and found it an enjoyable experience.
