Chill Restaurant & Bar
Chill Restaurant & Bar has come a long way since 2011. That year, Ruthie Buxbaum opened the restaurant as a little coffee shop with an espresso machine purchased from Craigslist. From those humble origins, things expanded; now, Chill is an award-winning restaurant serving breakfasts, lunches, and dinners inspired by sophisticated international flavors. Much of the menu is gluten-free and vegetarian- or vegan-friendly, with small plates and tapas such as savory brie, goat cheese tapenade terrine, and roasted spaghetti squash. Meat takes center stage in the mains, though, with sharable plates of escargot, Mediterranean lemon chicken, bourbon mushroom filet tips, Florida fish bites, and espresso-rubbed beef. The restaurant's reputation for surprising flavor combos even extends to the cocktail list; in one drink, Gentleman Jack is blended with bitters, Amaro, homemade fig puree, and fresh sage. Diners can also opt for a wine off of the extensive wine menu, or try one of the coffees that put Chill on the map back in 2011.
