What You'll Get
The Great Wall of China was constructed to keep roving packs of ancient pandas from absconding with the local cuisine. Succeed where the bears failed with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of Chinese fare at China Wok.
China Wok’s talented chefs have compiled a menu of traditional Chinese dishes specifically calibrated for takeout and delivery orders. The Happy Family unites shrimp, lobster, scallops, chicken, and beef together with vegetables in a lightly spiced sauce ($13.50), and morsels of sesame chicken trap unknowing sesame seeds in sweet outer layers more alluring than a gingerbread oasis ($9). A range of vegetable and tofu dishes, such as the spicy Szechuan tofu ($7.95), delights vegetarians and curious carnivores. Bulk up meals with crunchy sidekicks such as shrimp and pork egg rolls ($1.50) or crab-meat rangoons ($4.75) loaded with crab meat and cream cheese in delicate fried dough envelopes. China Wok’s delivery drivers memorize neighborhood layouts in eastern Milwaukee and reliably cart orders to Eastside, Riverwest, Shorewood, the Third Ward, the Fifth Ward, and downtown. Although Groupons are valid on delivery orders, customers will need to call if they plan on dining at home.
