Chocolate Star Bakery specializes in handmade, gourmet, melt-in-your-mouth cookies. Chocolate Star's oven-masters craft these delights from the finest ingredients: premium chocolate, pure vanilla, fresh farm butter, cookies, Grade A eggs, and Ghirardelli semisweet chocolate. The New Times has called Chocolate Star's concoctions the Best Cookies in the Phoenix area, while Scottsdale 10 has named the cookie haven one of Scottsdale's best dessert spots.
Chocolate Star Bakery's cookie-experts have created 12 unique edible circles. Some, like the heavenly chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin delights, are classic favorites. Others are novel creations like the Chocolate Star paradise with chocolate chips, oatmeal, coconut, cinnamon, and pecans and the cranberry white chocolate with dried cranberries, cinnamon, and smooth, white chocolate chips. Coming on September 17, 2010, try the experimental cookie temporarily designated Gamma K10H, a decadent combination of macadamia nut and "anti-fudge." Until then, all of the current models are absolutely irresistible.
With this Groupon, you can stock up on decorative cookie tins, jars, baskets, and more in-store, or you can order online for delivery. Either way, you get to indulge in cookies.

- love that these can be ordered online and shipped...i think my favorites are the pink cloud (with the almond extract), the banana chocolate chip, and the chocolate star paradise. – brian j., Yelp
The Story of Hazel Fontanelle
Hazel Fontanelle was a baker's baker. By the age of seven, she'd worn out six easy-bake ovens, won two dozen local championships, and unwittingly gave three local stray cats diabetes. Now, she was thirty-one, a master cakestress, an unparalleled muffineer. She had the respect of her peers, a steady job at Che Le De Cakes, and a new cat (strictly vegan). Her life was comfortable. Uneventful. Boring. She lifted a brochure from her coffee table and unfolded it gingerly like a sacred text. It was an entry form for The ChocoChimp Chip-Champ Charity Championship, the holy grail of competitive baking. It was a merciless gauntlet of whipping, flambe'ing, and more than a few crushed nuts, all solely judged by the aloof and mysterious Gabriel "Boss" Mascarpone. Many entered, but few emerged without singed fingers and torched reputations. But Hazel was hungry. Not for chocolate, but for greatness.
