I've never had my hair highlighted but i have always dyed it. i want to try getting it highlighted, so i wanted to purchase that groupon, will i be able to have my hair highlighted even though it is previously colored? It is medium/dark brown, i wouldn't want bleached or blonde highlights....i just wondered so i know which choice to purchase.

Yes you can highlight your hair even though it is colored. The only issue is that bleach or hair lightner has to be used as hair color will not lift through hair color. You don't have to have blonde highlights but truthfully the color that is on your hair currently will only lift so light. So you will have to be happy with the level that it will lighten. Most of the time on hair that is dark you are usually limited to reds or coppers. And if you are going to have the highlight option I would suggest that your single procees be done either here that day or the week of your appointment. I hope this answers your question :-)

What is the difference between a single process color and partial highlights? Also, does the salon use shampoo and conditioner that are safe for keratin treated hair?

Hi Stacie, A single process hair color is when you have an all over 1 color. Also color will not lift previously colored hair to a lighter shade. Meaning if you have brown hair that was colored you can't put light blonde color on it because it will lighten. A partial highlight is just the top from front to crown a nd a few pieces on the side front hairline. This is usually done with hair lightener or commonly called bleach and then a toner is used afterward to even out any unwnted tones . All of our shampoos and conditioner are safe for keratin treated hair. I hope this answers your questions.
