Pilots are the cowboys of the air, roaming the wide-open skies and herding children’s runaway balloons. Giddy up, up, and away with today’s Groupon: for $139, you get a roundtrip helicopter flight to dinner for two from Chopper Charter Branson in Hollister and Branson (a $220 value). Each flight includes:

The highly trained pilots of Chopper Charter Branson escort guests along scenic aerial routes to and from dinner destinations at various Branson-area restaurants. Departing at a prearranged time, guests board one of three rotorcrafts to embark on a brief aerial tour of the Branson area and surrounding countryside. Pilots, guided by altitude and pit-beef sensors, touch down at Charlie’s Steak, Ribs & Ale, then wait while guests take their time at the rustic steakhouse and brewery. More than six draft brews pair with an array of smoked and fried plates such as bacon-wrapped filet mignon, chicken-fried steak, and seasoned Santa Fe sirloin. Diners can spend as long as they’d like refamiliarizing themselves with the ground and penning naturalistic treatises on the restaurant’s wildlife-themed décor. Once finished refueling on hops and hearty fare, guests once again board their helicopter for the return flight.

Chopper Charter Branson's flights range from aerial photography to scenic tours and hands-on instruction and training. Each student learns on the Robinson R44 helicopter, touted as the most popular helicopter in the world. The FAA-certified air carrier meticulously maintains their choppers, taking all safety precautions and plopping them onto a treadmill for at least 30 minutes, three to five times a week.

Customer Reviews

The ride was a bit short. I would have preferred for it to be a bit more scenic, but the pilots were both wonderful and extremely friendly! We loved them!
