Families living below the poverty line often cannot afford to purchase the basic school supplies students need at the start of each school year, such as pencils, notebooks, crayons, and backpacks. Christopher House serves more than 4,000 low-income children and their families every year with a range of educational and support services from preschool to college preparation, including material donations.
One part of the organization's educational efforts includes purchasing school supplies for students whose families cannot afford them. Once outfitted with a backpack, pencils, crayons, rulers, and notebooks, students can focus more easily on schoolwork because they have what they need to complete their assignments.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help equip children in need with necessary school supplies. If G-Team members raise $450, Christopher House can provide 30 Chicago-area schoolchildren with a new backpack filled with essential supplies for the upcoming school year, such as pencils, crayons, rulers, and notebooks. Each additional $15 raised will fund a backpack filled with supplies for another child.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
Corner Farm Chicago – Altgeld Sawyer Corner Farm
