May we assume that by purchasing the $39 voucher for four people, we receive $90 worth of food and wine, and in the likely event that the bill comes to $150 (including tax and tip), that we simply pay the difference of $60. Sorry if the question appears stupid. Just want to clarify.

Yes, you will be able to pay the difference after applying the Groupon value towards your bill total. This Groupon, like most Groupons cannot be used towards tax or gratuity.
