Q:

The expiration date is listed for th 1st of May, 2013. Does this mean all six treatments need to be finished before that specific date? Or would I just need to begin the treatment process by then? I've purchased this groupon and am VERY excited to begin, but I'll not be in town until November of this year; I don't believe there would be time to finish all six treatments in six months, which is why I am asking. What would your policy be on this matter?

Sarah N.  asked on  Jul 14, 2012

A:

Thanks for the question! All 6 treatments do need to be used by the expiration date. To discuss how scheduling will work for you, please contact the business at (513) 984-4800.

Q:

I am seriously considering this, but I have a few questions. I have had electrolysis treatments for almost 2 years now with very little affect. The woman doing the treatments said it could be do to hormones. Could my hormones also cause the laser treatments to not be as affective? The area is my chin and neck, I swear if i didn't tweeze it or have electrolysis I would grow a beard.

Rachael C.  asked on  Jul 13, 2012

A:

Dear Rachael, you are correct in assuming hormones may play a part in making hair removal more difficult. Certain medical conditions can cause hirsutism, which is excess hair growth in areas you would not expect to grow hair. You may want us or your gynecologist to do a hormone evaluation to better understand if this is what is happening. Typically if this is the case, you will need more treatments and maintence treatments and may need some medication. An advantage in coming to a medical office rather than a spa, is having the physician available to answer these questions. Finally, electrolysis is not as effective as laser hair removal on darker hair.

Q:

Can I purchase a medium area and upgrade to a Brazilian? If so, what would be the cost to upgrade?

Jan M.  asked on  Jul 13, 2012

A:

Dear Jan, Sorry it took me so long to answer your question. You can accomplish this in a couple ways- You can either break your 6 sessions into 3 and use them for the brazilian or you can finish 6 on the bkini and pay our cost which will be between $100-$200 a treatment depending on the area. Brazialians run around $300 a treatment so we would be taking out the bikini area. We usually have buy a package of 4 and get your fifth free. The best thing is to have Benita our esthetician assess your area and discuss this with you. She is fantastic.

Q:

If I buy the medium for the biniki line and then decide later to do a brazilan would there be a price reduction due to less area?

Debbie  asked on  Jul 11, 2012

A:

There is a limit of 1 per person. You are able to use the medium for the bikini area, but if you decide later on to do the brazilian it will be the regular price.

Q:

Heh- are guys able to use the second option to remove back hair? Its not mentioned...

Chad M.  asked on  Jul 11, 2012

A:

Back hair is considered a large area, so is not part of this deal but you could come in for a consult and we can better assess your needs!

Q:

I have been considering getting laser hair removal for my lip, underarms and legs for quite a while now. I've done some research and have a few questions. First of all I know you need to see me for a consult before recommending the number of sessions I'd need for each area, but what are the normal rates you charge for those areas or at least a price range for them? Also, do you guarantee 'hair free' after the recommended number of sessions have been completed? I worry about paying hundreds of dollars only to end up having to shave again. I have read that you could have an occasional hair here & there, that isn't what I mean. I mean all the hair eventually growing back in...

Celeste T.  asked on  Jul 10, 2012

A:

The normal rate for a small area is $100 a treatment session- this would be for your upper lip. The underarms are typically $200 a session and legs are not part of this deal as we consider that a large area and can range from $400-500 a treatment. No laser hair removal is "permament, but you should expect 80% permanent reduction. You may need maintenence treatments yearly. This is what I do for under my arms. Also, you should expect your hair to grow in less frequently, with less hair growth when it does grow in and it should be finer. All your hair should not grow back, but there are hormonal conditions that may cause you to grow more hair and therefore you would expect to need more treatments and more maintenence. It is truly a treat for yourself!

A:

Also, the average number of treatments needed for 70-80% hair reduction is 5 consecutive treatments. This is for light skin/dark haired people. People of 'colors' ( Fitzpatirck levels IV-VI), could take an average of 10 treatments. Benita Medical Esthetician for Cincinnati Dermatology

Q:

If I buy the package for the medium area (bikini) and it ends up that I do not need 6 treatments do I forfeit the rest because you cannot use it on different areas?

Kellie A.  asked on  Jul 10, 2012

A:

You may need 6 treatments for the bikini area. However, you can work with our Esthetician to use remaining treatments on another similar sized area.

Q:

I have gotten laser hair removal in my armpits and bikini line. I have had 7-8 treatments at another location, but was not able to compelte due to moving. I am 98% clear execept for a few strands in each area that I would like finished, probably only need two sessons on each area, would I be able to get these two areas completed with one of the options by splitting the six sessions and getting three to finish my binini and three to finish my armpits?

Lindsay M.  asked on  Jul 10, 2012

A:

Yes we can split them that way. Hope to see you soon!
