Couples-only skate at the skating rink can be a lonely time for many schoolboys, especially those whose dates are off elbowing other girls into the polished floor. Witness high-speed roller action with today's Groupon: for $12, you get two tickets to see the Cincinnati Rollergirls (up to a $24 value) at the Cincinnati Gardens. Choose from the following bouts:

  • Against the Indianapolis Naptown Roller Girls on Saturday, April 30 at 7 p.m.
  • Against the Pittsburgh Steel City Derby Demons and the St. Clairsville Ohio Valley Roller Girls on Saturday, May 14 at 7 p.m.
  • Against the Chicago Windy City Rollers on Saturday, June 4 at 7 p.m.
  • Against the Detroit Derby Girls on Saturday, June 18 at 7 p.m.

In every doubleheader, the Cincinnati Rollergirls' two teams—the varsity Black Sheep and the junior-varsity Silent Lambs—skate, shove, and snarl their way toward victory. During two 30-minute periods, a feral pack of eight-wheeled vixens jostles around the flat, circular track as a lone gunwoman scores points by jamming past her opponents. Cheer, wave foam fingers, and shout wheel-themed anthems from almost anywhere in the Cincinnati Gardens' stands as the Rollergirls' Flannery O'Slaughter, Kitten Kicker, and Geez Louise steamroll their rivals in pursuit of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association's elusive Championship Bruise.

The Cincinnati Rollergirls insist on giving back to their community when not elbowing other communities in the face. So far, the team has raised more than $5,000 for local charities, and players stay after every game to autograph fans' programs and each other's casts.
