Located in the heart of Cincinnati's Backstage district, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company produces classic theatrical works with the goal of inspiring audiences and invigorating classical texts. Director Jeremy Dubin returns to Cincinnati to direct the Bard's beloved Julius Caesar, which follows Roman praetor Brutus in the wake of his role as conspirator in the murder of his friend, emperor, and salad proprietor Julius Caesar as Rome teeters on the edge of civil war. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's modern reimagining of this classic play features a gender-reversed cast, with Liz Vosmeier starring as the emperor and male microphone cables replaced with female microphone cables.
