What You'll Get
One of Benjamin Franklin’s last theories was that taking in a good view while eating aids both in digestion and in the ability to squeeze milk out of coal. Prove him half-right with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of bar fare and drinks at Cinebarre's Biltmore Square location.
Cinebarre combines a slate of films with a courteous, alcohol-enhanced atmosphere and crave-worthy kitchen concoctions. The menu features items with movie-inspired names, allowing cinephiles to pick dishes that align with their preferred genre or favorite Bill Paxton performance. Take teeth to the made-from-scratch pizza playground with the Chicken Run, topped with grilled chicken, caramelized onions, cheese, and barbecue sauce ($13), or let them rest atop a fresh-ground Blue Velvet burger, piled with blue cheese, buffalo hot sauce, burger toppings, and a kick of chipotle mayo ($10). Appetizers, such as Some Like It Hot Wings ($9) and Lord of the Onion Rings ($7), make arduous journeys to melt into a copious selection of wine and local craft beers, as well as mixed drinks, including the Lolita margarita ($6).
As palates purr, eyes and ears revel in Cinebarre’s cinematic lineup, ranging from Oscar-winning dramas to side-splitting comedies, recently including Black Swan, Drive Angry, and Take Me Home Tonight (tickets are all $3). Waiter service and tables are available in the lobby, and each seat in the theater is equipped with a table, providing a handy spot for comestibles or feet that involuntarily tap-dance to the 20th Century Fox theme music.
Cinebarre is for ages 18 and older unless otherwise noted. Minors over the age of 3 may attend if accompanied by and seated with a parent.
