Mindbody Bootcamp blends movement elements such as martial arts, gymnastics, yoga, and plyometrics to create a total-body session of strength and endurance building. According to an article in the New York Times, a typical boot-camp class includes "meditation followed by yoga postures and martial arts moves like fast punching and kicks." During the Mindbody Core class, participants focus on yoga sequences and isometric movements, and incorporate MMA techniques to help students to boost stomach and back muscles. See the schedule.

Circuit of Change

While deepening his yoga and meditation practice in Thailand, Circuit of Change founder Brian Delmonico was inspired to create an exercise program that could both dramatically strengthen the body and bring balance to the mind. The result is Mindbody Bootcamp, an intense workout that weaves together elements of several varied disciplines, including yoga, core training, kickboxing, and gymnastics. Participants burn serious calories while toning their entire body, improving their strength and flexibility, and finding zen through movement. Each workout pushes physical and mental limits, challenging participants to move in brand new ways so that they are never bored and never reach that dreaded fitness plateau. Those new to fitness shouldn't be intimidated, though: whether you are in great shape or have never worked out at all, the community motivates individuals to find balance in life and the focus to exceed personal training goals.

This innovative mix of Eastern and Western techniques has caught the attention of the New York Times and New York magazine, which named Circuit of Change's workout the Best Zen Bootcamp in 2012. The studio has also received praise from Huffington Post, Time Out New York, and the New York Daily News.

Classes are held in a sun-drenched studio loft located just one block west of Union Square. Each month, Circuit of Change founder Brian Delmonico, hosts special community events such as the Live Drum Class.

Watch their video on YouTube before the first lesson will help to know some of the moves and make the first visit more enjoyable. This is an intense exercise routine layout in a relatively leisure way. Bring a towel and a bottle of water. I was dripping with sweat thru out the cool down.
