The immensely popular “Broadway @” series is coming to Boston for the first time, and it’s bringing along one of theatre’s brightest stars: Megan Hilty. The star of top Broadway musicals including Wicked, 9 to 5: The Musical and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Hilty became a bonafide household name in 2012 as triple-threat bombshell Ivy on the NBC’s Smash. Her larger-than-life voice can do it all, from Broadway to jazz standards to Great American Songbook faves. Accompanying Hilty is pianist and host Seth Rudetsky, an Emmy Award-winning writer, actor and Sirius/XM radio host who’s written comedy routines for Rosie O’Donnell and pounded the keys in Broadway shows including Ragtime, Les Misérables and Phantom of the Opera. Together, the two provide a seamless mix of intimate behind-the-scenes stories and a stellar repertoire of musical theatre greats. Proceeds from this concert at the historic Shubert Theatre will benefit the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus.
