The chefs at The City Beer Market prepare a lunch menu that tempts midday diners with list of hearty pub fare. For the appetizer course, seafood-centric starters such as three variations of Prince Edward Island mussels or fried calamari coated in flour, black sesame, and chili flakes transform stomach growls into friendly whimpers. Sandwich options include the stout burger, an 8-ounce patty topped with roasted red peppers, mozzarella, and house-made Guinness barbecue sauce; or the portobello burger comprised of grilled mushroom, spinach, and goat cheese beneath house-made tzatziki. Alternatively, tandems can pierce their forks or novelty pirate hooks into seafood fettucine, a medley of shrimp, scallops, and mussels spiced by scallions and Cajun cream sauce.
