Phenomenal place, took just two one hour lessons and improved MASSIVELY. Coach Bill was really chill, non judgmental, and gave some really easy tips that made my swing so much better. Simulators are pretty cool, not only do they show the trajectory of your shot but also a slow motion replay of your form, how you struck the ball, the spin etc. Would continue lessons if more affordable.

What You'll Get

Like suntans and the ability to throw knives at apples on top of totem poles, golf skills disappear if you don't keep working at them. Keep the magic alive with today's Groupon: for $45, you get a complete Dartfish golf-swing analysis (up to a $125 value) at CityGolf Boston.

The one-hour training session—taught by one of the golf pros at CityGolf—will help to improve your swing using feedback from state-of-the-art Dartfish video analysis. The nuances of your stroke will be captured on film and dissected using a series of screenshots and slow-motion replays. CityGolf will even compare your mechanics to the mechanics of PGA Tour pros.

Aside from just straight analysis, a golf pro will be on hand to critique and give you feedback on your stroke and to provide gentle golf claps after a nicely cut shot. Your video will also be uploaded to the web before you even step a cleat out the door. To see what a golf-stroke video analysis looks like, check out this example video.

Reviews

Boston magazine named CityGolf Boston's Gary Parker the Best of Boston 2007 Golf Pro. Five Yelpers give CityGolf's Boston location an average of four stars:

  • Ben is a great instructor and really helps you focus on one thing at a time. He'll break down your swing starting at the point it's going wrong by watching you and showing you on the video analysis, and then work from there. – james w.
  • City golf is a wonderful idea for those of us who live in the city and may not be able to easily get to a driving range or course. – Peg P.

About CityGolf Boston

CityGolf's managing owner and head golf professional, Gary Parker, brings a Class A PGA certification and more than two decades of teaching experience to CityGolf, earning him Boston magazine's Best Golf Pro in 2007. Gary and his team of PGA-certified aces preside over year-round golfing activities inside CityGolf Boston's studios and their modern golf-training facilities, including a brand new downtown Boston location. Pros tailor instruction to individuals during lessons to help straighten out swings with the assistance of Dartfish video swing analysis, which reveals every ill-timed motion, errant clubface position, and argyle-clad poltergeist affecting each shot. A virtual-reality simulator recreates the environments of more than 30 legendary courses, and a 280-square-foot putting green challengers players' ability to read breaking greens.
