As Gaithersburg's top spot for all kinds of cultural activities, this community gathering place plays host to a wide variety of events spanning musical genres, with everything from Americana and a cappella to baroque ensembles and chamber music.
April 15-17: The Musical Quilters
Music & Lyrics by Barbara Damashek, Book by Molly Newman & Barbara Damashek. Presented by Rockville Musical Theatre. Seven women in the American West face frontier life together in this series of musical short tales. The quilt patches show girlhood, marriage, childbirth and other major life events. Recommended for ages 15 and older.
June 4, 2016: Rochelle Rice: Summer Love Songs
Under the warm breezy sky of a summer night, love begins to bloom. Join us for a night with up-and-coming jazz vocalist Rochelle Rice as she takes us on a journey through the urgency, mystery and many facets of love with her arrangements of some of the most beautiful love songs ever written. Rochelle’s dynamic and versatile sound marries the folk and soul singers of the 60s and 70s and the edgy contemporary jazz artists of today.
