As one of the stars of the documentary Color Outside the Lines, Miya Bailey shared some of the struggles he's encountered as a tattoo artist of color. The prejudice he faced when starting out spurred him to make a name for himself, and he did just that. Today, the owner of City of Ink is a licensed tattoo artists whose skills are in high demand. Working alongside his professional colleagues, Miya creates works of art on any canvas his clients might provide, be it the upper arm, lower back, or anterior dorsal fin. His precise line work has earned him accolades from MTV, BET, and PBS, not to mention repeat visits from his happy clients.
