Hero registration is valid for members of the military, police, or firefighters. The triathlon takes place on Saturday, July 11 at 9 a.m. Racers may stage their transition gear and equipment from 6-8:45 a.m. before catching a shuttle back to the starting line. All racers must have a USA Triathlon membership card. See the full set of race rules.
The Fine Print
Promotional value expires Jul 12, 2015. Amount paid never expires. Must be 16 or older. Must sign waiver. Must reserve by 2015-07-09. Registration required. Limit 50 per person, may buy 50 additional as gifts. Valid only for option purchased. All goods or services must be used by the same person. $1.25 booking fee will need to be processed at time of registration. All athletes must have a USAT number in order to participate. You can choose to purchase a one-day membership for an additional $12 when you fill out the online registration form. About Lakewood SummerFest Triathalon
Starting on the surface of American Lake and ends on the running path at Fort Steilacoom Park, the Lakewood SummerFest Triathalon offers some friendly competition to participants ages 15 and older. After a half-mile swim, racers embark on a 14-mile bike trip through the streets of Lakewood, Steilacoom, JBLM, and Pierce County. A 3.1-mile run rounds out the challenge. Sanctioned by USA Triathlon, this annual endurance challenge attracted the attention (and competition) of athletes from around the region.
