What You'll Get
British-born keyboardist Bill Laurance, founding member of the Grammy-winning jazz-funk fusion band Snarky Puppy, has been dubbed "a jazz maestro" by The Guardian. He's worn many hats -- including pianist, composer and producer -- and has worked with artists like David Crosby, Bobby McFerrin, Lalah Hathaway and Laura Mvula, as well as dance companies like Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the English National Ballet. For this City Winery Chicago set, Laurance once again teams up with Snarky Puppy drummer Robert "Sput" Searight and bassist Michael League for an evening of genre-blurring, groove-intensive, contemporary takes on jazz.
