Learn about the park's construction and design while visiting both famous landmarks and off-the-beaten-path locales. The approximately three-hour tour includes stops at Poet's Walk, Bethesda Terrace, Strawberry Fields, Belvedere Castle, Shakespeare Garden and more, plus a sweet snack break along the way.
The meeting point for the tour is in front of the Sherry-Netherland Hotel clock on Fifth Avenue (781 5th Avenue).
The tour lasts between 3 and 3.5 hours.
Walking distance is between 3 and 4 miles.
Please be advised that this three-hour tour requires a moderate level of fitness.
Assuming the benches in the park are not wet, there will be occasional opportunities to sit down (while your guide tells you interesting stories!). However, this tour does involve several short walks uphill and a few staircases to climb and descend.
There will be one restroom break on the tour.
Each participant will be offered a complimentary bottle of water and a sweet snack.
