Seeing live music can be a transcendent mind-body experience, akin to getting a tattoo underwater or making out during an eclipse. Transcend boredom with today's Groupon to see Cantus presented by Civic Music Association on Saturday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Drake University’s Sheslow Auditorium. Choose between the following options:
- For $29, you get two silver-section (shown in green on the seating chart) adult tickets located in the east or west main floor areas (a $60 value).
- For $19, you get two bronze section adult tickets located in the Southeast or Southwest Balcony areas (a $40 value).
Currently celebrating its 86th year, the Civic Music Association has established a tradition of education and ear candy that attracts some of the world's most renowned string strummers, key ticklers, and hot air blowers. Cantus, a nationally touring men's vocal ensemble, brings their baritones and basses to Sheslow Auditorium, where they will share their melodious brand of performance. This band of modern bards will sing selections from a diverse catalogue of musical styles ranging from chant and Renaissance rounds to folk and Benedictine monk punk. Exchange your Groupon for tickets at will-call on the day of the performance, or pick up tickets at the ticket office before the day of the event.
The Civic Music Association sometimes offers student tickets for half off the full adult price, or $5 for one hour before certain concerts.
